I can remember being up and gone just after breakfast and not showing up til dinner. Parents never even asked where I was. Ramblin, Hikin, fooling around with my friends...

Im still tryin to figure out if the world isnt as safe as it used to be or if I just saw too much of it...

I concur with that statement smile.gif
cabbage head
i was born in 81, and an awful lot of this stuff still applies. i remember playing war with the neighbor kids with actual BB guns and giving each other welts with the things.

you'd never see that now.

We had two gangs of armys for the BB gun wars with almost 16 BB guns. We all wore safty glases some of the time, shot out at least 20 windows in our own house.

Rember only two pumps in the Benjamin just to make it fair.

Hmmm, CO2 canisters, let’s just say that they make great depth charges. wink.gif biggrin.gif

OMG!!! I suspect we're all cut from the same bolt of cloth!?!?

One of my favorites is taking a standard firecracker and waterproofing the fuse with plain, old masking tape. They pack quite a punch under water.

As for "CO2" wink.gif cartridges - I'd allow my acquaintances to empty them of the contents and get boxes of them for free. Most of the users couldn't figure out why I wanted the empties. Beat the heck out of picking them up in the high-school parking lot and under the stadium bleachers. I'll bet I still have a cardboard box of them in a drawer somewhere.

CO2 cartridge + Black Powder + Model Rocket Ignitor Kit = Broken Window + Broken Sliding Glass Door + VERY flat tin can + 3 kids with ringing ears. smile.gif ... I have fond memories of my childhood. biggrin.gif

a bit Off Topic ? ...

my sister-in-laws & husband are visiting this weekend... besides getting in some golf, we plan to make a potato cannon. i've seen a few, but never actually built one before. anyone have a simple plan (or recipe) for making something up in a couple of hours ? i've seen some plans, but some get pretty elaborate for such a simple thing... my thinking is some PVC tubing with a cleanout on one end... hole in the bottom... and some hairspray... should schedule 40 do the trick ?

I prefer the "polish cannon" - cans taped together, tennis ball, gasoline, lighter, endless fun.
elken2004
