i watch a few movies a week, and i'm really into classics. i don't care for many new releases and won't until we see Hollywood return to something like it was in the 70s.

I had to vote based on my expectations, since I haven't completed my PJ yet. I voted for "Rewatching old favorites" because we have about 400 DVDs, but we do rent movies from Netflix too, and I think we'll watch some HD content and play some games too.

I wonder why polls just never catch fire? Hmmm . . . maybe I'll start a new poll about why people don't reply to polls?

I dunno...

Anyway, I suppose that I spend more time using the projector for movies, but it is my main PC's only monitor. I know that I would not use that PC for movies/TV so much if it were connected to a regular monitor, but as is...

So while I am watching more movies with the PC than anything else, it's basically a huge PC monitor. I surf the 'net, play games, read e-mail, and whatever else on it, but I do enjoy using it for HD content and DVD playback quite a bit. smile.gif

I use it instead of my television and I watch about 7 or so hours a week...
Dergrin
I use mine mostly for the Xbox 360 and Gamecube right now (about 2 hours a night between my roommate and I), but I used to watch about 2 movies a week on it.

I mostly use it for TV, Friday night for sci fi channel, Saturday night for new movies(DVD's). Football season is almost here! Yeah, I have the x-box hooked up to it but I rarely use it.
After two years of use I still look forward to watching it every chance I get. do I need to mention the look on peoples face when I tell them I have a 133" diag screen?

Movies and TV, I've had mine for 8 months and I too, still get a kick out of it everytime I turn it on. It even kindled some feelings of "Dad's a little bit cool after all (but not too cool)" from my kids. Actually I was informed that the word is "tight" now, cool is old school. Anyway, it's alot of fun.

Were Geeks...We go for HARDCORE dissociation! tongue.gif
It IS interesting to note that a lot of builders set goals around sporting events, but they never seem to make it here to vote...

Very tru we go out all intentions to put sports as a highlight feature yet we never really mention it ironic oh btw I will be the soon to be proud owner of my very own PJ hopes rolleyes.gif for crimbo if not at least I have good intentions. blink.gif

I have my HT setup for a 1-5 person area, im very picky and precise when it come to surround sound. Mainly for theatrical movies like....Jurrasic Park(1&2), King Kong, War of the Worlds, Pirates of the carribean...basicly anything that looks and sounds good. smile.gif
RaginRudolph
The question should be when is it not on, Mine is on atleast 60 hours a week and it keeps going and going laugh.gif

Well this will be based on my 7" as my 15" is down but I usually pull it out of the garage and throw it in the closet and my 2 year old says "big movie big movie" so I run it for a movie every other night mostly cartoon and disney type stuff if he falls asleep I will throw in spiderman or something to see what it looks like without cartoons on it. Man I need to get my 15" done again I miss that good resolution and 100" oh well I like the 7" just as much as my boy.

I think it's because the people who have their projectors done are too busy watching all the things listed in the poll to care to answer.
Rhymenocerous
I use mine for everyday TV (soon to be HDTV), movies and video games. I'm currently rearranging my house around a bit, and when I'm done with that I'm going to hook up all my game consoles, satellite TV and my PC to the projector.

I'm still building however this is an easy one: I'm going to watch all the movies I missed on the big screen or that I didn't think where any good from preview and caught them via rental and kicked my self for no seeing them on the big screen... well...
Now I can smile.gif Its not the largest movie screen in town - however I'll say this - it'll beat a 10 year old 4:3 TV / 19" crt biggrin.gif
