I don't have that great of tools available to me, so I need plans that are not too technical and that are done with hand tools. I would like to make a simple machine and then use that one to make a better one.

Please someone help me out with this. I've looked all around but not sure which one is actually easiest to make. Any first-hand info would be great. Thanks everyone.

Since it seems like not many people who have experience come here I'm going to answer my own question.
I will be going with David Steele’s plans @ http://www.solsylva.com . I've read good things about it and it has step-by-step instructions. I downloaded JGROs and Joe's, but they even seem too complicated to me. I'm a totally NooB, especially with CAD drawings.

Its a good starter machine, I do not like the unsuported rails so thats the purpose of my design to eliminate the rail flexing, and also the Gantry racking.

The rails on the largest machine he offers are supported by a channel its entire length, a simple and sturdy solution and all available at HD/Lowes. I may try that on the tile saw mod.

His designs look pretty well thought out. I would like to see some of the other areas in better detail.

Got the plans a few days ago. They are very thorough and well thought out like Haas said. He even details the best way to cut a sheet of MDF or plywood. I should be starting, hopefully, this week. Just the basic cuts to show some progress and to keep my motivation. At that point I'll start a PLOG. Never done that either. Should be fun.
