I was looking through the 17" monitors on newegg and decided to look what new monitors they had received.

And I saw that they had received LG L1752TX Black 17" 8ms LCD Monitor, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824005073

It is under 200$ at the moment, which is a very good deal, considering it not only has 1400:1 contrast ratio, it also has an 8ms response time, which would probably do away with most or all of ghosting during fast action scenes or video games.

It almost looks like the LL projector is encroaching on the line that defines commercial projectors over DIY ones.

With around 1000 more contrast then most DIY projectors have, I'd assume this LCD would make an excellent picture, and with the new bulb + pro reflector + pro lens, you have yourself a very good high def projector.

I've sort of been gone from the forums for a while, but to the last of my knowledge, the best contrast ratio on an LCD was 1000:1 w/16ms response time, and it was expensive. The future looks bright for DIY projectors. smile.gif

By the way, sorry if this has already been posted, I searched but found nothing on this LCD.
