Full Version: atx power supply question

on the atx power supply cable that attatches to the motherboard...which connector in there is the positive and negative?...i need to use an atx power supply for something else and to get it to turn on i need to connect the switch directly to the big main connector...but cant figure out which plug to connect it to

thanks for the help guys hope that made sense

need to run my 12v dichroic bulb off it...saw a pic of someone doing that already..

Red is 5V, Yellow is 12V, and black is ground

Jumper pins 13 and 14 that will power the atx supply up without being on a motherboard.

DOH! or 14 & 15 as shown it the picture... both pins are common
