Hi Guys,

Due to space reasons it would be really useful to swap my lampig control gear for an eballast, but since the store is out of stock of the EU lamp kit, I need to know if the combination of the eBallast and the MT400SX will work?

Anyone using this config?

Is this an EYE lamp ? What is the bulb shape ? BT-28 ? Do you know the ANSI code of the lamp ?

... my feeling is that yes, the lamp will work with the eballast (as many lamps work with the eballast, which is one of it's strenghts)... just wanted to be sure of what lamp we are talking about...

cheers,
gs

Sorry I should know better, and be a bit more specific.......

The Iwasaki Eye MT400SX-HOR-E40

.....is the lamp I'm using, which means its a bit longer than the standard ones, its basically the lamp that Eyebath first introduced us too, that everyone used before we could get bulbs for the UK/EU from Lumenlab. (You can tell it's bin a while)

I have to order some new fresnels due to damage in storage, and was considering getting a new lighting gear whilst I was at it, my lamp holder design will take both types of lamp (new and old).

But it would be nice to use the eBallast with my old lamp; if I can, then it leaves me with the hard decision as to wether to wait for the lighting kit to come back into stock, or to just get an eBallast.

Thanks for your reply.

Just noticed Pulse strikes are meant to be in stock on the 9/06/06, I think I can wait a week.

Since you are waiting on the PS T15 lamp, i'll mention this just for the record... Yes, that lamp works well on the eballast. It is a regular probe start MH lamp (ANSI M59).

cheers & good luck,
