My current setup I am using PHLLIPS lcd with only Vga input.

Well I have a Compaq lcd board with tv tuner and rca inputs

do you think I can use this board on my lcd if the connectors are the same??

So far my projector is running so sweet.

If the PANELS are exactly the same then I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to swap the driver circuitry around provided all the connectors are the same. The question is, does that Phillips model and the Compaq model use the same exact panel.

No I dont think they are exactly the same, you mean in contrast ratio and dot pitch etc.
i know they both are 1024x768 ,though

thanks

I guess the question I have can it do harm if they are not the same to try it...sorry I cant answer for sure anyone else ?

My GUESS would be you wouldn't harm the driving circuitry but I am not suggesting trying it unless the panels are clearly identical. By identical I don't mean simply the same resolution. wink.gif

Take both apart, there will probably be a manufacturer/model lable somewhere on the actual LCDs. If both have the same lable then you're probably golden, if not, procede at your own risk.

Thanks guys I think I might leave it alone, since I have no probs why temp fate.
