Searched around a little, but didn't find much... I just bought a used Lightware Scout projector. It uses a 200W MH bulb, and the buggers cost $250/ea. It's got 410 hours on an average 500 hour bulb (ouch!), and given I paid $75 for the projector, I'm -not- paying $250 for the bulb. Has anyone every kludged together a new lightsource for a premade projector? The projector itself works just fine, it's just gonna need a new light source at some point soon.

Cheers!

may be you can adopt the new lumen lab premade projector's light engine.

the bulb costs only $30.

I don't know what kind ballast it takes though.

Ask brain what kind of ballast you need and get the bulb from ll.
