I have the plans and have been lurking for a few weeks. There is quite a bit of adjustment that needs to be performed at final testing and then securing the elements in to it's final fixed position.
What point do you use as your fixed reference? In other words, do you place the bulb in a fixed position and reference everything from the bulb going forward?
I assume it best for the collimator, LCD and collector to have independent travel adjustments built in correct? Assuming a fairly accurate initial install, what would you say the max travel has to be for each component? Would you say 1/4 inch, 1/8th inch?
Furthermore, I assume there a need for Z adjustment - correct?
Thanks for your assistance

i work from the bulb forward - but i would recommend working from the lense backwards -

You can make the lens adjustable in focus so it might make more sense to work from the bulb forward. But it really shouldn't matter one way or the other as long as your measurements are accurate.

Very nice. The new ballast would look better.

Yeah it would be nice but unless Lamps gives us a trade-in for the ones we already bought then the majority of us are stuck with what we've got...I'm with the latter part because I haven't even seen Lamps post for quite some time.
