1280x768, 600:1 contrast ratio, 15 ms response time.

The 15 inch westinghouse is strippable and also compatible with antiglare removal, so this is probably compatible as well.

It is not too bad to strip. No fcc problems. I do not know yet on AG removal.

prety decent response, good contrast, I need one of those. I was going to go with the Viewsonic 19in widescreen (1440x900), but this thing is better I think.

My friend just got it from BB. He paid $229 though, so this is a good price. I had to take it apart for him. Actually I think I am pretty much gonna have to do the projector. I am not teaching anyone else anything about making a projector. Too many questions

Dot pitch is .288. Is that a problem? Most monitors seem to be .26.

Bye the way, this does have an HD input.

Dot pitch is the physical size of the pixels. In this case, the pixels are .288mm x .288mm. Its also a handy way to get the size of the actual screen, just multiply the dot pitch by the resolution to get the horizontal and vertical dimensions.

In this case, the actual screen is (1280*.288) x (768*.288) = 368.64mm x 221.184mm

Helps for determining what will fit in your fresnel. Pixel size doesn't really make a difference on performance.

Im assuming you meant "does this have an HD input?" It has 1 D-sub, 1 DVI-D, and a resolution of 1280-768, which will give you content up to 720p which is 1280-720. So yes it does have an HD input, but if your referring to the three pronged component cable input, then no, it doesn't have one of those.

I was referring to what seems to be a DVI-D by further research, it has a plug that goes from your cable box or new directv etc box that they towt as an HD output, to the lcd. It is like 20 pins or something if I can remember right, and it has a small section on one side that I can remember being different. Maybe it is a D-sub or DVI-D, I am not sure what those are. But the cable company claims those outputs are HD??? It looks like a male side of this plug

Im sure it doesnt have HDCP

And there were rumors awhile back that it couldnt accept 720p it would display invalid sync or something
buying a widescreen monitor that requires an external scaler is like toothpicks under toenails

Definately a no buy for this monitor, if it doesn't except 720p w/out an external scaler. Thats just lame.

someone needs to confirm or deny that, but i think its true.

I know its true on the 15.4" westinghouse 1280x768 LCD
