Have anyone use this type of ice cream scoop as the reflector in thier projector?

I found it for a couple of bucks in Wal Mart about a month back and wasn't sure if I am gonna use it as a reflector or get one of lumenlab pro reflector instead.

Photo of the ice cream scoop can be seen in my plog at http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?s...pic=10145&st=20

The photo isn't that great and the scoop was dirty being in the box for a month but it have mirror-like surface and when I am looking inside the scoop I can see myself upside down however on the back of the sccop I see myself upright.

What do you all think?

Thank you

Honestly seems to me as though it would be too small....

I have little doubt you'll achieve much better results using the Lumenlab pro reflector. Plus, it's relatively cheap. wink.gif

However, to each his own. Some folks just love to experiment.

Good luck on the rest of your build. Looking good! cool.gif

And I second blake's comment. Shape is questionable as well. But ya never know.

Thank for your input and I think your right it does look too small so I probably just go with the pro from lumenlab.

I was thinkin that as well, it's not a perfect sphere so it most likey wouldn't work very well. And yes I would also recommend going the pro reflector route, it's currently the best reflector there is for the newer USHIO lamps.

Best reflector for the "T15" form factor bulbs. If you have a bulb with a diamter less then 44mm at the arc, then you can use the pro reflector.
