Yikes!

Carefull man, you were probably kidding but I wouldn't go daring any body to do it, even jokingly. (Especially since Lucky is liable to do it).

First I doubt a household powersupply could support that. Also, have you noticed that in many movie theatres there is a large alluminum box behind the lens? The heat made by that thing would probably set the projector on fire, blow up tempered glass, melt lexan, fresnels, and fry your lcd. Besides that, getting finger oil or finger prints on a bulb like that will cause the bulb to explode! (don't ask me why) in movie theatres great care is taken to keep the bulb clean and untouched, if it is its not used.

Anyways, I'm sure you were kidding but carefull not to tempt me.. I MEAN irresponsable people.

lol! Yeah, and bulbs always seem to blow way before they're rated life span is reached. I'd say that would last about a day.

You cannot touch these bulbs with your bare hands because the oil from your hand will transfer to the bulb. When the bulb turns on, it will become very hot, and the oil will boil making that area hotter than the rest, nad shattering the glass. At least I think that is why.
