I can't believe I've been a member here almost from the begining and I'm now just starting my first build. Sure, I build smaller psone projectors but this is big one. I've been just too damn scared to mess anything up.
I'm a real chicken----! Well I just finished my sled. It's a Dell 1503fp controller and a Gateway (Samsung) 15" LCD. No need to go into details, you guys already know what you're doing. wink.gif I just sit here in utter amazement in the things you guys can do. My hat off and humble bow to all of you.

Your confusing me a bit. Are you saying you bought a dell 1503 lcd monitor and the lcd panel inside is a samsung panel or you are using only the controller from the monitor and bought another lcd panel which would mean you busted your dell 1503 lcd .

Thanks Nick, I did this all day Sunday (start to finish) borrowed ideas from everyone and made it up as I went along. I really got to learn to plan better.

Dracul, this is the link to how I found out about these LVDS Screen Controllers.

I'm no expert at this stuff at all. I only read alot and am willing to experiment.

Hey great job! I think outside of Brain & Lustra, I may hold the title of member who's been here the longest biggrin.gif I finished my first build not long ago (I had to pry the money for the lcd out of my wife's hands!)

Anyway, your PJ is looking great - the proof is in the projection!

Thanks for the all the comments - I'm humbled. You're absolutely right, it's an incredible feeling to see it working after all this planning and such. I don't care what anyone says DIY will never die.
