Hey!

I am trying to get some ideas on how to mount my LCD, and was hoping there existed some sort of thread where people could showcase their mounting solutions (kind of like the focus mechanism thread). But it doesn't exist.

So, instead of hunting through hundres of pages of PLOGs, if everyone could just post their solution here, I think it would make a great resource. I am hoping this thread will catch on and get stickied.

Lets see those mounts smile.gif

I'd be interested in that too, especially after recently reading someone's story of crushing the edge of their LCD in the mount.

My vertical just has the LCD sitting on a 3/4" plywood frame.

I keep it in place with black plastic strips cut from the leftover monitor pieces.

The strips are epoxied in place.

I also will use the original bezel for a mask around the LCD edges.

Alternatively, view my whole plog by clicking on my signature line link. It's indexed on the first page. wink.gif

As of this posting the final pics aren't there yet so in the future page down through my plog for more detail if you need it.

This is a rather cool idea since one could just sort of window shop for a whole pile of ideas and inspiration. cool.gif

Here's an unfinished pic:
