I have just resived a ballast capasitor and ignitor. I see the digram on the ballast, but im not sure that i read i correctly. Are the two fat lines on the diagram a symbol for the ballast or the capasitor? First I thought that it was the ballast, but then I donīt know where to put the capasitor...

Thanks for any advise.

The 2 fat lines are the ballast, the capacitor is not in that drawing. Is there a drawing on the capacitor? Try doing a search. I know I have seen this question answered before but I do not remember what the answer was.

The capacitor - I believe - is wired in series with your lamp. I'll check around and come back to edit this unless someone corrects me or beats me to it. Hang in there!

Couldn't dig up a definite answer. Can you provide more info? Manufacturer info? Didn't the ballast come with a wiring diagram or any paperwork at all?

I've seen ballasts that have separate leads for the capacitor but I still think it goes in series. You'll have to verify that though - don't just go on my word. I'll keep looking but more info would help.

Found this based on the model # stamped on your ballast:

Okay, get verification of this but this is what I believe you need to do:

I drew in the capacitor on the image from your ballast. Looks like you must choose the proper input line based on your mains voltage.

Somebody else will chime in here. Good luck.
