Hi
I'm wondering about : what is the best 17 inch monitor... IM about to buy a Hyundai l72s. Many have it and seem good.
But what about the : X2GEN 17" monitor and maybe the samsung one...
I need 8 ms and a great contrast ratio.. 700:1 or more and without fcc..
So does the Hyundai still the best ?
Thanks

I use the samsung 740N and it is wonderful. The tuning options in the software (magictune) alone make it worth it for me. The only con I see to this monitor is that it autostreches a 720p input to the full 4:3 size of the monitor. There is no way I know of to get the monitor to letterbox it.
I would get the 740B if I were you. That way you get the DVI. The 740B has come down in price and is now just a few dollars more than the 740N.
From what I have seen, the samsung panel seems to be surperior to the Hyundai. I have never seen anyone use that X2GEN panel, but if you feel like being adventurous.... go right ahead.
Good Luck,
Nick
