I dont if I should do a 15" or 17" build. My primary usage will be movies. Second will be emulated games(so the resolution doesnt really matter), and third I will be using my computer on it a lot as well. Particularly for CounterStrike Source. All other computer games may apply at some point but that is my primary game.

Now I know that DVDs dont use a resolution higher than what the 15" offers even in widescreen. I just feel like I am missing out if I cant do HDTV. Maybe I just like to be future proof. However I find myself second guessing that decision because its not a simple upgrade but in fact a huge upgrade because of the added cost to the lcd, fresnels, throw lense, etc.

My final thought is if I should just go with the 17" with the cheaper lenses because CSS will always be in widescreen and so will the movies ideally. Maybe I can just get by with that?

All suggestions are welcome and appreciated

For your first one I would go with the 15" you could sell it and build another one by that time you will have all the bug out of it
