Hi,

I am now planning my diy pj. I bought my KTC 7005l, 17", 500:1, 12ms lcd panel from Elkjop in Norway
I live her and its freezing tongue.gif hehe

First i got one lcd with 1 stuck red pixel in the middle of the screen. I got an replacement and this have
an green pixel about i 1 1/2 inch form the middle of the screen. I tried watching movie on it and its
shows up in the middle og of the widscreen movies.

I have an 30 days satisfaction gurantee. Should I get a new lcd? unsure.gif Or should I stick with
this one?
Also if anybody has a picture of their projection with a stuck pixel to post here?

Best Whises,

Julius

Here's a link to a program that can "unstuck" a pixel. I personally haven't tried it, but they say it works.

I had a NEC lcd projector with a stuck red pixel in the middle of the screen, and to be honest it ruined everything I watched, I couldn't take my eyes off of it. If I were you I would try the program suggested above, and post your results. If it doesn't work, take it back. The annoyance factor really depends on where the pixel is on the screen. Since we look around the middle, that would be the most noticable place.

Thanks Cornelius smile.gif

I will leave the program on for the night. The clock is now pm. 10 30 here.
I just have to put something in fornt of screen thoes colours make my
room like a disco safety.gif

Ill be posting the results after school tomorrow ph34r.gif

There's a 'pixel massage' technique posted by member 'Norlander' that has fixed many stuck pixels. A search may turn it up...

I had 2 stuck green pixels when I bought my 17" LCD, I simply rubbed them a bit with my finger and got them to go away... not hard, just enough to see the effects of the presure in the LCD image.

Hi again

I tried every methode but he pixels wouldn't go away.
So I returned the lcd screen and got a new one.
I turned it on preparing for the worst laugh.gif
I could not belive it, not a single dead pixel biggrin.gif
This is the cheapest 17 inch. Lcd screen you can get
here in Norway it costs about $242. Which is a great deal
here. We are not as lucky as you from the US. dry.gif tongue.gif
