Lighting Suppliers: Check your local yellowpages under "Lighting suppliers" These are speciality stores that sell nothing but Light bulbs. I went to Homedepot and a gentleman there suggested me this. I called a few places from the yellowpages for a quote and got my stuff from:
Litemore Lighting - 1290 Old Innes Rd.
The smaller 400W MH bulb, ballast and socket cost me CDN $163 including Taxes.
You can do the same thing for the tempered glass as well.

The link sent me directly to the Yonge below Eglington location. I wasn't aware they had other locations. I'd be driving in from the west anyway.

Gear,
I was in a homesense last weekend and they don't have norpro bowls but they do have a lot of polished stainless candy dishes and such that are all under $10. I even saw a Double sided "thermal" mixing bowl that was wiered shaped on the ouside but perfectly smooth and spherical on the inside. I almost grabbed it but I'm not at that stage yet.

Think I found a good reflector...........
Hey everyone from Canada! I have been a newbie for about 6 months now and finally found the time to starting collecting all the parts for projector. I am very excited to get it built and start enjoying now that the white stuff has landed.
Just to let everyone know, I was at Ikea tonight and found a bowl to use as the reflector. It is 20 cm and appears to be a perfect sphere (did not actual verify yet). Just from looking at it I am sure it is, with the exception of a very small flat spot on the bottom (about the size of a quarter). It is shiny in the inside and has a brush metal look on the outside and I think it is made out of aluminum. The best part is that it only costs $8 plus tax! I am not sure if it is the perfect size for the project or not yet, but they do have a bigger one at 28 cm if I remember correctly. The larger one I think is too big for the project so I grabbed the smaller one for now.
If this bowl is suitable for the project I can pick up for other interested members that do not have a supplier locally.
I will post images of the bowl tomorrow for anyone that is interested.

Hey guys, here is the pics of that reflector I found at Ikea.
Specs:
Diameter- just over 20cm
Depth of bowl- approx. 9.5cm (almost a perfect half sphere!)
Flate spot on bottom is about 4.5cm in diameter (pretty small)
Cost was $8 (plus tax)
