Time for some new pics! This time w/ windows, they aren't the greatest quality, I was taking them at an angle

They came out okay though, tommorrow when I get off of work I need to do some work mounting the box in a perminant place!

I'm also thinking of starting a PGR3 Car of the day thing LOL! Xbox 360 OWNS on this thing, colors are AMAZING in person!

BTW sorry about the san andreas picture, it should be alot better, I was in a hurry I promise I'll have some more soon! I hope you guys are enjoying this!

it's currently pushing 111"! and still totally amazing! I highly reccomend picking up a Non FFC issue monitor for beginers, I wrecked 2 dells with FFC issues and that costed a fortune!

the Samsung 730B is an ASTOUNDING monitor w/out FFC issues!

Once I finalize my box i'll post some pixtures of it, i have some fan light leaks to seal smile.gif

Da-lite 2.5 Gain:

The colors are AMAZING, as well as the brightness, I'm absolutely stunned at the results right now!
blake
Great results, however, the red seems much more vibrant with the Vinyl screen, I pesonally think it looks a tab better that way.
ChristmasGT
its actually supposed to be the orange/red mix, the above picture was way to saturated (still looked great though)
quiklearner
Also, with the Da-lite screen, you can see a lot of details in the background that were too dark to see with the vinyl screen. Notice the pictures on the wall, the arcade machine, the details inside the car. I like the bright look of the Da-lite, but I'm sure the viewing angle suffers with a 2.5 gain. Either way, you have some amazing results!
ChristmasGT
Actually, I hear alot about the viewing angle, and I have yet to find it as a problem, maybe i'm not judging correctly or something? but it looks fine to me no matter where I stand

Yea mine is the same, it looks great no matter where I stand or sit.

But with a 12' wide screen and only a 16' wide room I guess I'm still in the "viewing cone".
ChristmasGT
LOL jon thats true.

I played an A** Load of Need For Speed Most wanted today. I looks fairly good, you can tell the game wasn't "optomized" for the 360, it holds nowhere near PGR 3's graphics (still fun as hell though)

I promise Pics tommorrow! (really!)

I must say that the results are amazing that 1080 resolution almost makes me sick to look at in a good way though. The sharpness and color you are getting should make your place the neighbourhood hangout.

HOLY SHAMBOOZLE !!! ohmy.gif Those shots are AWESOME! I'm PUMPED!!!

Now heres some shots of the back of the Projector

ChristmasGT
LOL I cleaned alot yesterday, i'll do more cleaning tommorrow!
CNLiberal
What is the distance from the front of the triplet to your screen? I LOVE the results your getting with that Da Lite screen. Didn't you say you got it on EBay for CHEAP?
ChristmasGT
I actually got it at "Thefinalclick.com" for cheap (135 shipped) the distance is just above 10 feet

LOL i started on it!

Did you find the with the high gain (2.5) that the whites were way to bright? I had a room mate with a DaLite screen and whenever we watched a movie with a bright scene it always seemed washed out. He had an InFocus X1 PJ (not very good) but we did try and turn down brightness etc but it just didn't work. Do you have a similar problem? Again, stunning results!

Actually no, the colors are fantastic, maybe its the fact that commercial projectors put out such high lumens? idk, I'm VERY pleased with my results though

here lies the corpse of some jacka** that tried robbing me on the way to my next city, I'm walking along, looking at the scenery then he says "This is a hold up, give me everything you got" naturally this guy was way stronger then me but I decently declined with a "WTF NO"

A 5 minute battle enraged, I would lash at him and then run into the hills until I could cure myself, then continue beating him to death!
