Hey guys i am building my first projector, and i just want to play around a bit before i build my final box.

could anyone suggest a reasonable used monitor from ebay, that i could buy to play with to build for the first time??

btw ... its because you could have used the search options for this.
have a look into the Compatible Monitors and the INcompatibe monitor thread.

the samsung syncmasters arre good .... cmv's .... benq 567 v2 ... etc etc.

just make sure you look in the list first before buying any old thing.

also... you may be able to get a 17" for not much extra money ... and they have much better contast ratings.
expecially the samsung syncmasters.
