samsung 17" 730b
hdtv on satelite 720p

The cabinet is not finish yet I also use screen on the doors but as you can see we can see trought so today I bought some speaker material and it will be more opaque and still let the air circulate The cabinet is 4"x4" x2"in depth its mounted on wheel so When I am done watching something it can be put away on the side and it will look like a cabinet

The Samsung is very easy to strip it only took 15 min and I left most of the framing of the monitor in to hold the lck

Hi!
And nice results by the way! =)
Got some questions since u using kinda the same monitor as me (It looks like anyway) Though mine is a slight diferent version im gonna go for the Samsung TFT 17" 740BF DUAL DVI VGA Silver 2ms TCO03!
And i looked up your monitor on the net and im wondering now is it 16:10 format on your screen?
Im getting so confused at all the things so hehe
Another question is, was it easy to strip?
And for the looks of it i m guessing u let the anti glare to be on the monitor?

And again, Nice one! smile.gif
magel
The format is 4:3 on theses picture when I used my tv its hdtv720p 16:9
its very easy to strip and in thoses picture the anti glare is till there I try to remove it on my other monitor and I screw it up so this one it will stay there in reality those picture are a lot brighter aslo the picture a lot sharper I am having difficulty with my camera

kk
But my grama in english might suck a bit and im to hasty sometimes reading the topics hehe saw u said it was easy on a post befor mine..sry =)
and i think i formulated my question a bit odd when i thought about it!
What i ment was that there are so called 16:10 screens(The TFT monitor itself) And was wondering if that truly makes it widescreen or mutch wider picture in person than regular 4:3 TFT monitors, since regular widescreens often has 16:9, cause i dont like the 4:3 monitors to rektangle for my taste! get kinda angry when i sellers take pictures of the TFT monitor on the side... so u cant realy tell how wide the screen realy is..
Hope i formulate right now though hehe smile.gif

You will get the same with regardless the mode you are in the only difference will be you will have a black on the top and on the bottom. That is if you change the setting on your lcd even before you project the image on the wall If you already have the lcd check it out you will see what I mean or go to a store and check it out. If you set up your lcd mode to 16:10 the computer will convert from 4:3 to that mode so it wont display wider than you screen

Hey magel, looks like you have some room in there for a mini bar too! Good job, by the way, did you have your bulb horizontal before you placed it veritcal or was it your first intensions to begin with. What I'm asking here is if you did have the bulb horizontal then switch it to vertical did you see any difference?
magel
This bulb is a eye bulb its base up only I never tried it If I get another bulb I will try it for sure

Is that a monster dvi cable?
Also, did you remove the lcd, and keep the electronics inside that metal casing? I thought Tenderhearts, benq fp71v+ was the only lcd so far that we could do that with.

magel - very nicely and smartly done on the enclosure biggrin.gif

You mentioned that you are projecting 25 feet away from your screen. That sounds like an awfully far throw distance. Just wanted to verify that is the actual number?....

Magel,

Nice enclosure! Very unique. How does it look w/ the lights off and powered up.

my electronics will be inside the metal casing (Asus PM17TU), but its packaged a little differently. There were two smaller metal cases screwed to the metal backplate of the monitor.. pics up of how I mounted it soon
