does anyone know where we can get a larger triplet with the same specs as the standard LL triplet?

I believe my dukane 4003 OHPs have wider lenses (one of which i use, and the other overhead i use for testing transmissive properties of elements). Slizm in trading post also had a couple wide 300mm's.

Dukane OHP triplets are great! My 80mmClearX327mmFL out of my model 4000 gives a very even light distribution.

How's the focus?

Most other triplets I hear about have blurred corners.

Same here, I've heard people trying these Dukane's and I decided to try my Starfire SF5510 OHP's triplet which is also a Dukane and it made a difference. It did however brought the projection smaller by 3 inches both height and width. But the clarity is great. It's also a 327mm FL and has, I measured, 62-63mm diameter front and rear opening compared to LL's 60mm which I also measured. DAZZ beleives these may be the same as 3M's triplets which are also 327's but I haven't looked into it as yet.

Do these ohp triplets have the same field of view as the LL standard triplet?

All the ohp's I've seen are made for a 11"-1/2 by 8 inch sheet of paper at most. Which is just a little smaller then a 15 inch lcd.

i get perfect focus on a 17 inch panel, so it may be, ive never ordered a LL lens

I have almost perfect focus (corners only very slightly out of focus, hardly noticable)with a 15" panel and my dukane triplet. It spreads the light out much more evenly than my LL's standard triplet as well. Those Dukane triplets are really over-engineered for use on a simple 10.5"X10.5" OHP.They have a fairly wide field of view and the optical clarity is excellent.

Interesting mikelish, what fresnels are you using with your 17" panel and Dukane and are we talking about the same 327mm FL triplet?

Lens size, i just measured my spare

"2.5 in = 63.5 millimeters"

Maybe, my build quality is good, who knows, i get good focus though
