which one is better for use with lumenlab pro lens kit---17 inches widescreen 16:9 or 17 inches 4:3 lcd panel?

either one will work equally as well with the new lenses... the question you should be asking is "which one is better for you?", which goes to the question, what will you be watching with your PJ ? Gaming is mostly 4:3 (600x800, 1024x768) and 5:4 (1280x1024), while widescreen DVD's are 16:9, 1.85:1, 2:35:1, etc...
