Hey all,

I built a motorized screen, and thought it would be neat to control it with a remote control. My only (limited) experience is with PIC Microcontrollers (the 16F84 to be exact...datasheet to come, microchip site down at the moment). With 13 lines of I/O, thats a lot of devices you can control.

I have been digging around online for some plans for this, but I havent seen quite what I want, and I dont think I have the skills to plan it from scratch.

The ideal receiver would be programmable by a computer, that way one could use an already existing remote and read the appropriate codes into the computer and program the chip with the codes.

I'm going to use this forum as a place to dump stuff as I find it, and if you have any good ideas/suggestions, paste them below! In my plog I also have this (rough...VERY rough) image
