WOW this is a great site!!! I've been reading this forum for a while now (first post) . I ordered all the parts from LL store the other day, but now i have a problem... I can't find a LCD!! I been hunting for a LCD for days now with no luck sad.gif

I've been looking for a 15" LCD that will be good for gaming (PC and XBox) and i'm having a hard time... I googled almost every monitor on the compatibility list and had no luck so i searched newEgg then tiger direct...still nothing... Can some one point me to a easy to strip LCD?

I've noticed a ton of sites are selling 17" for about the same price as 15's but will a 17 work with the basic lens??? If so what changes do I need to make when building my box? and where can i get one?

I hope to start this project as soon as my parts are here but now i can't find the biggest thing on my list!

PLEASE HELP! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

I got the westinghouse lcm-15v5 from ecost ( http://www.ecost.com/ecost/ecsplash/shop/d...dpno~656295.asp ). It was a breeze to strip and only 150 for a refurb w/ no dead pixels- unfortunately I'm stuck with getting my bulb going but the monitor looked great before I took it apart.

Thanks for the link! man ur fast! I ordered one and should be here in a week or so (Grand Total : $156.94) I love the $1.99 shipping scam ;-) $1.99 shipping (plus a hidden $7 handling), but it was still a good deal! How are you (or anybody using this LCD) designing your box? I think i'm gonna keep mine simple (i'm not too handy with wood). thanks for the quick help!!!

I did the standard midget coffin that is outlined in the guide- putting it together wasn't too bad (and I'm not very handy either). I'm stuck with the lighting so I haven't thrown everything together but it should be easy as all the ffc cables are along the bottom. Good luck
