It's a 17in tft of a seemingly obscure brand (to me anyway). It's got good specs and price to match, with DVI. Anybody with experience of stripping anything of this make, otherwise if I got it would it be a walk into the unknown! Cheers

Never say never...but I cant imagine how they would make it more difficult. Its just an extra piece which you would remove when your taking apart the 'sandwich'.
Bonus: you get a free set of speakers out of it, and possibly a small amplifier!
