hmm, well I think that the only video cards that provide Inputs rather then Outputs are All In Wander ATI cards and TV Tuners.
I can be TOTALLY wrong though, I was hoping to find a Tuner that would take an HDTV Signal from my Video Game Consoles and put them into a tuner, then have it outputted through my X800XL
Any VIVO card (Video In Video Out) card and most Tv tuner cards have composite (low quality) and S-video (OK-ish quality) inputs. These can be ATI cards (the 'All in wonder' series), or Nvidia, or a dedicated TV input card. A simple PCI TV card can be had for about £20, with a reasonable level of quality.
There are currently no consumer level (i.e. not costing upwards of thousands of pounds) HD input (Component, DVI or HDMI) cards.

Do you get better results with the AIW ati's compared to vga conversion boxes such as the n6?

I use an nvidia Personal Cinema card. It's got decent enough graphics to run WoW, and the conversion box gives decent enough quality... can't compare it to an AIW or something else though, cause I've never used them. Does anyone know if this is a huge ram drain? That is, would a video card with higher RAM give a better signal?
For low quality inputs (S-video and composite) the PC card will be able to postprocess to make it look nicer. But for higher quality video (480i/p and above) on a component input, the n6 will win (as PC cards can only handle S-video and Composite, unless you want to spend thousnads on a studio-quality card).
The n6 itself isn't a particularly high quality converter, but it'll do the job. The best ones cost about £200 to £300.
