I finished stripping my LCD panel, and the backside (the side that would be facing the front of the pj lense) has this silver opaque lining on it. When i put the panel against a light source (room lamp), it doesnt seem very bright shining through. Could this be a problem, is this removable?

Sorry for the really poor pictures, my camera was running out of batteries.
This is the BARE panel, its not the backing from the panel sandwich.

It is an reflective layer that is used in conjunction with the backlight to improve brightness I think. It's not helpful in our projectors.

I took mine off my panel and the brightness increased dramatically. mine peeled off with just slight pressure.

But you might want to hear others opinions also.
