Full Version: Pulsating/flickering light - bad eballast?

The light from my bulb is pulsating. It's extreemely annoying and it's giving me a headache. If I look inside my projector while it's running I can see the shadows moving, even though nothing's moving in the projector (except the fan, and I tried stopping it to see if that was the problem). I thought it was the bulb, so I bought a new one, but the new one does it too. Does that rule out everything except for the eballast? Could it be that the electricity coming into my apartment has some sort of interference, and if so, can I do anything to compensate? I've been using this projector for around 6 months now and it just started doing this.

I experienced something similar with the new pulse strike T15 Ushio sold in the LL store, so I sent it back. Brain tested it and found nothing wrong with the bulb, so I am assuming my LL eballast doesn't like that type of bulb.

My original LL S400DD Ushio bought this summer, works fine in it.

It's strange... the bulb I use doesn't seem to matter. I haven't been having the problem at all today though. That makes me think it's got to be something to do with the wall outlet or maybe some electronic device my neighbor has been using.
