...and it looked like crap sad.gif , the flash light isnt really that bright, but you could barely see a picture on the wall (dark room) and there is no way you could see the full square, if you moved around the light you could see the rectangular borders, but if you have the light in the middle, all you see is a circular area of whats on the lcd...

will the real bulb fix all of these problems?

also, do i need a fuse at all? what purpouse does a fuse serve???

I can't tell you if your projection will be good or not. I don't know how well you built it. But I can tell you there's a world of difference between a 400W metal halide lamp and a tunsten filiment running off of 2 or 3 nine volt batteries.

I wouldn't be surprised with greater than 100 times (as in multiply by 100 or more) more light from the MH bulb.

I hope you made your lamp distance adjustable. This will help more than anything else in getting the optimal light through the lcd.

Yea you could put a 1000watt halogen in there and it would look like crap.

Our projectors are VERY dependent on a light has as small an arc as possible.

what purpose does a fuse serve?????????

it only protects the hundreds of dollars you've spent in the case from blowing up with a power surge!
