I just won this LCD TV on Ebay and wondered if anyone used this model in thier projector before or have stripped one?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=5860013610

I need to find a power adpater for it and a backlight invertor so I can test it to make sure it working before I strip it so if anyone have this LCD TV using it as a regular TV or inside a DIY Projector. would you look at the label on your power adapter and tell me how many VDC and MA rating to use?

If you have stripped this down before and still have the backlight power invertor, I would like to buy it from you so I could test the LCD TV before I strip it but I know you really don't need backlight to test it however I just wanted to see it to determine if it worth my time stripping or not.

Thank you

Thank you.

Yeah I did some digging but I still need ma rating for it and it doesn't say on thier site so I thought maybe someone have one running already or own one of those TV and can look for it on the label of thier Adapter.

I am thinking maybe 400ma?

Yes it will be a heck of a buy if it a working unit and have no serious ffc issue in it 8-)

Thanks

I just found out that it require a 12 VDC 5A adapter so it sounds like one of those notebook brick type of adapters.

If anyone got a spare one laying around with that specs, PM me 8-)

Thanks

It may need 5A with backlight but without I would think that 1-2A should be plenty that should be a l;ot easier to find.

Yes you may be right about this and I have done more research on this and found that it may only need 2.3A to power it up but was provided with a 5A brick.

So it might be easlier for me to locate a lower Amparge power supply, it shouldn't hurt to start low and then work my way up in amparges if it doesn't work as long the polarity is correct.

Thanks for the inputs!
