Hi,

I've got my box built, frames made for my fresnels and LCD and just need to deal with the wiring and then put it together. The kit I have is from lampig.com here in the UK and is an MH400W ballast, a 30 mic capacitor, and a ZH6S ignitor.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to wire this lot up though. For now I'm happy to have a simple setup without a thermometer, or fan or timer or anything like that. Here's a few photos of what I've got:

The ballast:

The capacitor:

The ignitor:

The underside of the ceramic E40 base:

Some cable I bought and will strip:

So... should I just get a kettle lead, cut off the kettle (i.e. not the plug) end and use the blue and brown wires from that?

In what order do I need to wire these devices up?

What are the B Lp N markings at the top of the ignitor? I'm guessing...something, Live and Neutral?

There seems to be no obvious markings differentiating the two different pairs of connectors at the top of the capacitor, should there be?

Also, the same with the ceramic base, though I'm guessing it doesn't matter with the base as it can be wired any way round?

Hope this all makes sense... huh.gif

Cheers

Mark
