It's pretty neat, although a lot of us may know some of this already. Check the DIY channel (121 for comcast cable customers near Philly). THey are showing some serious home theaters!

I can't justify spending 60 dollars a year on a set of channels, that I would in all likely hood never watch apart from a segment here or there.
But you have a point, and to answer your questino ...more then I should have probably. This project is a moneypit for perfectionists.
