This bulb has a white diffusive coating on the outer glass making it a very large source. It will require unconventional methods to make this bulb work.

what does that exactly mean?

The spec sheet says "coated" under bulb type. In other words it is "frosted". It has a nice color temp but you need to find it in "clear"
