I hope this post is not too redundant since many people have already stripped this monitor (or similar ones).
I took these written notes and a series of pictures as I stripped the monitor in case I want to put it together again some day. |

The approach was to disturb as little as possible. To avoid accidental breakage as few cables as possible were disconnected. No modifications were made to the parts so the monitor can be put back together if necessary. An anti-static wristband was worn throughout and work was performed on a metallic surface (An anti-static mat was not available).
I can’t claim that I followed proper procedures or that I don’t have errors in my notes so if you decide to use this information to strip a monitor proceed with caution. |

9. Removed two small coarse threaded bolts holding top flashing. Pulled top flashing up – there was some resistance from interference fit where flashing connects at front of monitor. This exposes the main circuit board.
