Hey All,
What do you think? It seems like a great idea and parts could be made with the micro or rogr. Thoughts? http://www.contraptor.org/ -MM |

Hey All, What do you think? It seems like a great idea and parts could be made with the micro or rogr. Thoughts? http://www.contraptor.org/ -MM Hmm. For the price it looks interesting. More of a toy or something to learn about CNC with, really. But, with a bit of effort and twice the money you could probably improve the tolerance and speed to something worthwhile (1/16" repeatability with belt drive?!? even .01" with the leadscrews would be very noticeable, I don't think a micRo would even run if it were that far out-of-whack). Strangely though, it looks like a scaled-down version of a prototype robot G and I built a couple summers ago. I'm not trying to be a killjoy or anything, just stating the facts.. |
