Hi,

Currently I have a HP Tx2500 with the ZM-86 Processor. I have seen that AMD has released a new processor similar to the ZM-86 but it has a higher Hyper Transport Link. This Processor is the ZM-87. What I need to know is if having a faster Hyper Transport Link will work on my TX2500, or will the Bios not allow me to do this. I tried talking to the guys at HP, but all they could say is that it’s not on there compatibility list. My next option is to try calling AMD.

The Reason I'm asking is because it has an on board graphics card. If I can increase the speed of the Hyper Transport Link I think I might be able to get a little more performance out of my Tablet. This Tablet is the best I have ever owned and I would love to see if I could improve it a little.

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to change the amount of shared memory between the graphics card and the mobo?

If there isnt an option inside the BIOS, then you may be able to try a command line setting. Chances are, since its a tablet, you wont be able to change it.

Thanks! I'll keep looking into it.
