I'm somewhat of a novice so tell me if i say something that doesn't make sense, but I'm planning on using an 18 inch sony Sdm-S81 lcd. I've taken it out of it's frames and isolated the lcd screen. After looking closely, I realized that there is a board that connects to the top of the lcds circuits and the same board connects to the side circuits but the problem is that there is no flex cable ffc connecting the two parts, instead this flat chip blocks about a fifth of the back screen from any light getting in, and i'm not sure how i can connect this chip to the top and side without it hovering behind the screen, there are no flex cables, it's just this chip. I could do it if i find a male to female connector wire that would extend teh connection beetween the side and the chip. I'll attach a picture it's kind of hard to explain
![]() ![]() ![]() is there wire that can extend that kind of socket? This post has been edited by Neil4Real: Sep 9 2008, 02:42 PM |
